What if I am late and miss the bus, can I get a refund?

There are no refunds for no shows. No exceptions. Please arrive on time.

What is your daytrip cancellation policy?

Cancellations made 3 or more days prior to your trip will result in a $5.00 per person cancellation fee.  Cancellations or transfers made less than 3 days prior to your tip date will result in a cancellation fee of $55.00 per person (this is the cost of the bus seat).  For information on our Group Daytrip cancellation policy, please contact the Slope & Sail office directly Reservations@slopeandsail.com OR (919) 782-2557.

What time does the bus arrive at Wintergreen?

We arrive at the resort at about 8:30AM. Your ski day lasts from 9:00AM to 4:30PM.

What happens when we arrive...how do I get my lift ticket and/or equipment rental?

Upon arrival at Wintergreen, the trip captain will obtain and then distribute lift and equipment rental tickets.

When do I get my rental equipment?

Wintergreen’s rental shop is now paperless. Please pre-register for your Wintergreen rentals online at https://secure.wintergreenresort.com/rentals/StartPage.aspx Parents must sign the Rental form for children under age 18. Click here for the downloadable rental form for parental signature only. You will be fitted for your rental equipment at the Wintergreen rental shop.

Are meals included?

No, we do not provide meals so please bring money for food. There are several restaurants located at the resort.  On the return trip, the bus will make a 25-30 minute dinner stop just north of Lynchburg in Madison Heights. There are several fast food restaurants located within walking distance. Please purchase your food and return to the bus as soon as possible.

What time does the bus depart from Wintergreen?

Your ski day lasts from 9:00AM to 4:30PM. Please return to the bus no later than 4:45PM in order to facilitate a 5:00PM departure.

What time does the bus get back to Raleigh/Chapel Hill?

The bus normally arrives in Chapel Hill around 9:00-9:15PM and in Raleigh around 9:30-9:45PM. Return times can vary depending on weather and driving conditions.

What is the age requirement to participate in a daytrip?

There is no age requirement. Please note, that there are also no chaperones. Parents/guardians of participants under the age of 18 who will not be taking the trip with their child need to complete and sign a Permission for Medical Treatment Form and have the child bring the form with them on the day of the trip.

Is there a group discount?
